Me and my second tiny home on wheels, a 1986 Toyota Dolphin.

About Me

A simple life.

Me and my first tiny home on wheels, Towanda the Sprinter van.

I’m Abigail Rodriguez, call me Abi on the ROADriguez. I’m a photographer, artist, adventurer and nomad. Six years ago I sold my belongings and ditched the work/rent grind for a life of freedom in a tiny home on wheels. The road has been my home ever since.

After nearly 4 years of traveling all over North America, living in a van with my beautiful wife, Natalie (also known as Nikki), and our 2 dogs, it was time for a change from that 80 sq ft living space. To create more space for ourselves, instead of settling down, we decided to get a second vehicle: a vintage RV, the reliable 1986 Toyota Dolphin. Sometimes I’ll be caravanning with my wife, other times ALONE.

In 2022, I drove the Toyota down to Oaxaca, Mexico and found a stray kitten on the way. Realizing he was a deaf cat, I quickly adopted him into my family.

2025 will bring a whole new chapter as I sold my Toyota and bought a short school bus. My wife and I are converting this vehicle into another tiny home to continue our nomadic lifestyle.

I’m here, I’m queer and I’m documenting my unusual life with my wife and sharing it online in hope of inspiring others to live their own lives to the fullest and to give a reminder that it is never too late to follow your heart.

Follow me and my wife online (Youtube, Patreon and Instagram) to join in on the adventure.

Peace + Love,

Abi
